The team at Why Mary is absolutely delighted to be coming on-board as an official sponsor for the famed, Australian Supermodel of the Year Competition.
Our owner and designer, Janette Laver, will be heading to Bali for the finals, with her daughter and Why Mary model, Isabel.
After a successful showing at the Gold Coast auditions a few weeks ago, Isabel will join 20 other beauties for a whirlwind Bali adventure, where they will flaunt their stuff in front of top supermodels and judges from around the world, in the hope of taking out the renowned title of Australian Supermodel of the Year.
Having recently landed home from a dream trip, showcasing Why Mary on the runway at Milan Fashion Week, the girls have a new goal in their sight. The competition is looking for models with a unique look, a passion for modelling and a thirst for gaining life experience. As a finalist, Isabel will head off for an all-expenses paid trip to Bali, to work with amazing designers and brands, get model mentorship, performance mentoring, and receive incredible collaboration opportunities.
"One of my friends had entered at a show and asked what it's all about and thought why not give it a shot," Isabel said.
"I'm so excited, going to Bali will be another amazing experience, because it's a modelling destination now and it's a super cool tropical spot. Going there for the finals, even if I don't win will still be very special."
Isabel wore Why Mary for the formal section of the audition and we are coming on board as her primary sponsor.
“I always love wearing Why Mary designs. I’ve seen the whole process from the sketching to the pattern to the manufacture. So, to wear something that I am proud of has such a special meaning, it’s so special to be able to wear it,” she said.
Bali is the next exciting adventure in our journey. Why Mary will also head back to Milan next year and debut on the runways in London.
